Stephany Zarate Santoyo was born and raised in East Palo Alto. She graduated from San Joaquin Delta College with an associate degree in early childhood education and is waiting to receive her Child Development Associate Teacher Permit. Stephany volunteered as a Green Oaks Academy after-school program tutor, at Reach Inspiration Support Education (RISE), and as a Catholic Charities teacher’s assistant. She is bilingual in Spanish and English. Stephany likes listening to music, hanging out with her family, and loves celebrating holidays in Mexico with her grandparents.
