Carolyn originally lived in Daly City, then moved to San Mateo at age 7 and has lived there ever since. She always wanted to help others including aspiring to be a nurse when she was young, then being interested in the legal system prompting her to study criminal justice in college. Carolyn loves being with her sons, daughter, and eight grandchildren, as well as attending their sporting events.
